  • Stuttgart/Hanover, Sep 20, 2022 - Stuttgart/Hanover – On the road to sustainable transportation, first prototypes of the fuel-cell powered Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck have been undergoing intensive testing since last year – both on Daimler Truck’s in-house test track and on public roads. At the IAA Transportation 2022, Daimler Truck will be offering selected visitors a ride-along in one of its fuel-cell trucks.
  • Stuttgart/Hanover, Sep 18, 2022 - Daimler Truck is pursuing the goal of complete locally CO2-neutral transport. The manufacturer demonstrates this with a broad portfolio of fully electric vehicles at IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover. The Daimler Truck trade show highlight is the heavy-duty, battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul long-distance truck, which the manufacturer presents to the public for the first time.

At the same time, there is great potential here to reduce CO2 emissions. Following the market launch of the eActros for heavy-duty distribution transport in 2021, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is now igniting the next stage for battery-powered heavy-duty long-haul transport. The company is presenting the eActros LongHaul, announced in 2020, for the first time at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover.

And that's exactly what ESWE Verkehr in Wiesbaden have done: Three years ago, the mobility service provider placed its first major order for 56 all-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro city buses.   • Stuttgart / Houston / Portland , May 25, 2022 - Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY) a leading US foodservice distribution company, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to deliver up to nearly 800 battery-electric Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors by 2026. The first eCascadia delivery is expected to arrive at Sysco’s Riverside, California site later this year.
  • Stuttgart/Reutlingen, May 23, 2022 - Daimler Truck AG will become a major anchor shareholder in German high-tech engineering company Manz AG (https://www.manz.com) through a capital increase of around ten percent, subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities. In addition, in a first step both companies have signed a cooperation agreement on a strategic partnership to establish a pilot line for the production of lithium-ion battery cells and for the assembly of batteries at Daimler Truck’s Mannheim site.

  • Stuttgart / Rovaniemi, Finland , Mar 15, 2022 - Before the impending start of series production in the second half of the year, the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eEconic proved itself in the Arctic Circle winter test. At icy temperatures down to -25°C, development engineers from Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks tested the e-truck intended for municipal use in Rovaniemi, Finland.
