  • Stuttgart, Apr 9, 2021 - One of the greatest talents of inventor Gottlieb Daimler was finding new areas of application for his engine. He invented the motor cycle, then went to the motorised trolley car, a motorised firefighting hose and then, almost inevitably, to the truck in the year 1896.

Five years before that the first prototype of the Unimog scrambled across difficult terrain.
  • Stuttgart / Gundelfingen, Dec 16, 2020 - Heavy duty tractor units like the Mercedes-Benz Actros SLT are often involved when oversize, heavy duty components or machinery are transported. The Actros SLT is now celebrating a milestone: the 500th Mercedes-Benz SLT towing vehicle based on the current Actros has been handed over to TSB Transport-Service Beitinger in Swabia's Gundelfingen.

  • São Paulo / Stuttgart, Jan 6, 2020 - Mercedes-Benz and Bosch have joined forces in Brazil to build a state-of-the-art Vehicle Test Center. In addition to trucks and buses, it will also be possible to test passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and motorcycles in the future.
  • Stuttgart / Mannheim, Dec 17, 2019 - Anniversary in Mannheim: for twenty-five years, the Competence Center for Emission-Free Mobility (KEM) has been the pilot factory for Daimler AG's vehicles with alternative drive systems.
  • Stuttgart, Dec 13, 2019 - Since the summer, an increasing number of trucks sporting the Mercedes star have been seen on the roads without the typical large exterior mirrors. Instead, small streamlined camera arms are mounted on the roof frame.
  • Stuttgart, Dec 12, 2019 - Mercedes-Benz do Brasil has opened an "urban farm" at its plant in São Bernardo do Campo: since November 2019 they have been growing organic vegetables at the truck and bus plant in keeping with ecological farming standards and serving them in the works canteen in accordance with the "farm-to-table" principle.

As one of the very first telematics service providers Fleetboard is continually developing its technologies further and at the show it is presenting the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal, the digital interface for the truck.
  • Stuttgart, Mar 7, 2019 - Daimler Trucks will be exhibiting twelve Mercedes-Benz trucks at the "Retro Classics 2019". The vintage vehicle fair will take place from 7 to 10 March 2019 at the trade fair grounds in Stuttgart.
  • Stuttgart / Las Vegas, Jan 7, 2019 - Today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Daimler Trucks announced that it will invest EUR 500 million (around 570 million USD) over the next years and create more than 200 new jobs in its global push to bring highly automated trucks (SAE level 4) to the road within a decade.
