  • Stuttgart/Hanover, Sep 20, 2022 - Stuttgart/Hanover – On the road to sustainable transportation, first prototypes of the fuel-cell powered Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck have been undergoing intensive testing since last year – both on Daimler Truck’s in-house test track and on public roads. At the IAA Transportation 2022, Daimler Truck will be offering selected visitors a ride-along in one of its fuel-cell trucks.
  • Stuttgart/Hanover, Sep 19, 2022 - The Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul wins the “2023 Truck Innovation Award.” The prestigious industry award is presented to particularly innovative trucks by the “International Truck of the Year” (IToY) jury, which is made up of 25 experienced commercial vehicle journalists from important international media from Europe and other countries.
  • Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Kawasaki , Sep 7, 2022 - Daimler Truck subsidiary MFTBC (Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, “FUSO”) unveiled the all new next generation model of the all-electric light-duty truck FUSO eCanter on September 7 in Japan.
  • Stuttgart, Jun 27, 2022 - Daimler Truck reaches its next milestone on the road to sustainable transportation also with hydrogen-based drives. Since last year, a Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck fuel-cell prototype has been undergoing intensive testing – both on the in-house test track and on public roads. Daimler Truck is now putting another prototype into operation to test the use of liquid hydrogen. Political support for the development program comes from Daniela Schmitt, Minister of Economic Affairs of Rhineland-Palatinate, who opened the regional hydrogen week “WOCHE DES WASSERSTOFFS SÜD” (#wdws2022) today with a test drive in Wörth am Rhein, Germany.

  • Stuttgart / Wörth, May 30, 2022 - Following the market launch of the eActros for heavy-duty distribution transport in 2021, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is systematically pressing ahead with the introduction of additional battery-electric models for this and coming years. For the important long-haul segment the eActros LongHaul, with a range of around 500 kilometers on one battery charge, is scheduled to be ready for series production in 2024.
  • Stuttgart / Houston / Portland , May 25, 2022 - Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY) a leading US foodservice distribution company, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to deliver up to nearly 800 battery-electric Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors by 2026. The first eCascadia delivery is expected to arrive at Sysco’s Riverside, California site later this year.

IKEA Japan is the first home furnishing company to receive delivery of the eCanter.

The food discounter is testing the heavy-duty electric truck to supply its Hamburg supermarkets with, for example, fruit, vegetables, dairy products and dry goods.

In 2020, PostNL, one of the launch customers of the FUSO eCanter in the country, expanded its fleet of locally emission free light-duty trucks by adding four eCanter to their fleet.
  • Stuttgart, Germany / Guildford, UK, Dec 10, 2020 - Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) and Daimler Truck AG have signed an agreement to jointly develop the next generation of liquid-hydrogen refueling technology for fuel-cell-powered trucks. With their collaboration, the partners aim to make the refueling process with hydrogen as easy and practical as possible.
