And that's exactly what ESWE Verkehr in Wiesbaden have done: Three years ago, the mobility service provider placed its first major order for 56 all-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro city buses. In all, 120 electric buses have now been ordered.
  • Stuttgart, Jun 27, 2022 - Daimler Truck reaches its next milestone on the road to sustainable transportation also with hydrogen-based drives. Since last year, a Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck fuel-cell prototype has been undergoing intensive testing – both on the in-house test track and on public roads. Daimler Truck is now putting another prototype into operation to test the use of liquid hydrogen. Political support for the development program comes from Daniela Schmitt, Minister of Economic Affairs of Rhineland-Palatinate, who opened the regional hydrogen week “WOCHE DES WASSERSTOFFS SÜD” (#wdws2022) today with a test drive in Wörth am Rhein, Germany.

Mercedes-Benz do Brasil has configured the Mercedes-Benz Axor specifically for automated harvesting operations as part of a development partnership with the Brazilian agricultural technology manufacturer Grunner.
  • Stuttgart / Houston / Portland , May 25, 2022 - Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY) a leading US foodservice distribution company, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to deliver up to nearly 800 battery-electric Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors by 2026. The first eCascadia delivery is expected to arrive at Sysco’s Riverside, California site later this year.
  • Stuttgart/Reutlingen, May 23, 2022 - Daimler Truck AG will become a major anchor shareholder in German high-tech engineering company Manz AG (https://www.manz.com) through a capital increase of around ten percent, subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities. In addition, in a first step both companies have signed a cooperation agreement on a strategic partnership to establish a pilot line for the production of lithium-ion battery cells and for the assembly of batteries at Daimler Truck’s Mannheim site.

At icy temperatures down to -25°C, development engineers from Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks tested the e-truck intended for municipal use in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Karin Rådström, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks, personally handed over an eActros 300 to Stefan Hohm, Chief Development Officer (CDO) and member of the Dachser Board of Management, during a customer meeting in Wörth am Rhein.
